And this is the image linked:

## Solution

I decided to start by using a well-known image steganography tool known as [Steghide](https://steghide.sourceforge.net/index.php). It runs in the command line and I just chose the extract option, and did not enter a passphrase.

<figure><img src="https://1102212211-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fa46Jmz9dIuFnWcXn3ooO%2Fuploads%2F3cy8EbprWObWSS8P6Ih0%2Fsteghide.png?alt=media&#x26;token=ed830a6b-ebfe-4c3b-a150-e3f66f3fa346" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The flag file contained this data: `Y3Rme0ptYmliMVpKdEd3empZZzZPMlljfQ==`

That looks very much like a hash to me and so I used my usual [online hash decryption tool](https://hashes.com/en/decrypt/hash) and ran this hash in it.

Bingo ! Flag found.
